Menu 32.9 EDI 850 PO Transmission

Use this menu to transmit Purchase Orders to Johnstone Corporate using vendor number 001. To send a PO to a different Vendor, fax the form using m-7.7

Start by entering your operator code.

Enter the eight-digit purchase order number (Co#PurchaseOrder#).

The program will automatically complete lines 2, 3, and 4.

To change the ship from warehouse, PO type, or shipping code, select the line to change.

Step 1
Line 1
- Non-Corp Ship Code: not available for use at this time.

Line 2 - To change the warehouse your order will ship from, select line 2, and input 001 for PDC, 002 for MDC, and 003 for ADC.  The system will default to the warehouse listed in Company File Maintenance, field 19 (m-12.1.1).

Line 3 - The system will default to Corp PO Type 'P' Regular.  To change the PO type, select line 3 and enter 'E' for Emergency or 'D' for Dropship.

Line 4  - The system will default to '011' Corp Order PO.  To change the shipping code , select line 4 and enter "?" to display a current list of Shipping Code Options, select a Shipping Code from the list and input in line 4.

Important Note about Customer Dropship Orders:  In order to have an order dropshipped directly to a customer, Corp PO Type (line 3) must be a 'D' and the shipping code must be changed to indicate the shipping method to be used.  If the shipping code is '11' Corp Order the dropship will be sent to your store.  If the PO type is not changed to 'D' the dropship will be sent to your store.

Step 2
Press "0" to accept.  The PO information will now be displayed in the second-half of the screen.  Several PO may be entered at one-time, regardless of the PO type, shipping code or the distribution center the order is shipped from.

To make changes to a Purchase Order that has been entered, type in the PO number and select the DELETE option.  The PO will be deleted from the list and may be re-entered.

Step 3
Type 'END' at the input line to display the Transmission prompt.  Enter a 'Y' to transmit or a 'Q' to quit.  Quit will end the program and your work will not be saved.
