Cycle Counting
The prerequisite to using this custom cycle counting program is that you must be using warehouse locations.
This is custom programming that will need to be added to your system. Please log a job online requesting a quote http://dst.myjohnstone.com/Login.asp.
Step 1: Identify the Warehouse Locations that you would like to include in the cycle counting process
Menu 9.20.20 - Warehouse Location Maintenance

1. Enter the Warehouse Number 2. Enter the Location Number - This number can be up to 8-digits. 3. Enter Zone - R (Rack); P (Part); S (Showroom); B (Bulk); W (Will Call); C (Counter) 4. Cycle Count - Enter a 'Y' for cycle counting to be done on this location. 5. Group - Field is not used at this time. 6. Type - Primary location for this item. H = Home (Main Location); R = Random (Bulk Storage); W = Will Call
Step 2: Count to verify the items on the cycle count sheet
During EOD you will get a random sampling of a specified number of items that you have selected to count each day. Usually 40 or 50 items.
Menu 10.34.8 Reprint Cycle Count Sheet Use this menu to reprint the EOD cycle count report at any time.

Using this report, each item should be counted in each possible location that the item could be in. The blank lines are provided to enter the actual new count, and the variance between the new count and the on hand quantity, if there is one.
Step 3: Enter Cycle Count Adjustments
Menu 10.34.5 - Cycle Counting Input/Adjustment
Use this menu path to correct counts once they have been confirmed.

This menu will display the items currently on the cycle count with the current on hand quantity.
You will be prompted to enter the correct on hand quantity or press <Enter> for no change
In the example above, the computer shows none on hand, if 1 was found during the count, enter a 1 at this prompt. But if none were counted, just press <Enter> to confirm that 0 is the correct on-hand quantity.

Use this menu to see what was adjusted, when it was adjusted and who adjusted it.
