Why wireless?

The wide spread reliance on networking in business and the rapid growth of the internet are strong testimonies to the benefits of shared data and shared resources. With wireless LANs (Local Area Networks), users can access shared information without looking for a place to plug in, and you can set up networks without installing or moving wires. Generally the hardware required is a laptop with a wireless network card, a cordless scanner and a battery back up to extend the time of usage. Ideally you would have this set up on a roll-around cart similar to the carts you use to move stock around in the warehouse. And finally an Access point that would be installed in a central point in the building, usually in rafters in the warehouse.
