FAQ's - New Corp Website
I am currently using JSWebstore, when can I "upgrade" my store? We will start upgrading current JSWebstore users after the new Corp website has been released. DST will notify you when we will begin the upgrades. To upgrade, all you need to do is enter a job on-line with DST to schedule your upgrade. DST must receive your request one week prior to your desired install date in order to guarantee the date you've requested. Jobs can be entered on-line at the support desk link http://dst.myjohnstone.com/Login.asp
I am currently not a JSWebstore user, do I need to schedule an install with Database? Only if you want to become a real-time store. Real-time stores display customer specific pricing and availability to customers and the online orders that are placed are routed directly into the Database System. Otherwise, if you want to remain a non real-time user then the new online catalog and online ordering system will be available as soon as Corp switches to the new website.
I am not currently using JSWebstore, what is the cost for non real-time users to become real-time users? Corp is charging a $1,250.00 implementation fee that will fund future development for real-time Database users. DST is charging a one-time fee of $800 for Piclan setup and install. Plus a $35 per month Datalink Support Fee charged by Piclan that will appear on your monthly Database statement.
What pricing will my customers see if I upgrade to real-time? Your customers will see store specific customer pricing and availability if they are logged into your stores website. Otherwise, if a customer visits your website and they are not logged in they will see either List or Wholesale prices. List or Wholesale price display is set by going to your stores website, accessing Store Admin Menu > Store Settings.
What catalog pricing will my customers see if I remain a non real-time user? Customers for non real-time users will see either List or Wholesale prices depending on what pricing the store has set to display in Store Admin > Store Settings. Non real-time users will not be able to see availability.
How to use JSWebstore OnLine Ordering System
SSL Added to Webstore: Webstore has recently added a Secure Sockets Layer to the shopping cart. This helps ensure even greater encryption (128 bit) of any potentially sensitive data transmitted back and forth between webstore and the stores. The only noticeable change will be the http:// designation in your browser address bar and the little lock in the brower tray. Another added benefit of the SSL addition is this helps set the groundwork for upcoming development where the SSL will really be needed (AR, Payment processing, etc).
Downloadable Shortcut File: Make it easier for your customers to get directly to your webstore, either via Desktop Shortcut or Browser Bookmark/Favorite! Located directly below the Webstore login is a link to a downloadable file that places a shortcut ICON on your customer's PC. Next time they click on the ICON on their desktop it takes them directly to your webstore.... ready to login!
The convenience of a one-click launch to your BEST tool online - MyJohnstore.com! With this desktop shortcut, your customer can launch their browser straight to MyJohnstone.com whenever they need you!
